This blog is both a real and uncensored journal of my fight with addiction, my struggles with recovery, and the life of a chronic relapser who never gives up on chasing recovery. When I, Eric Puckett, pick up for more than a couple days in a row my altar ego, Jay Hustle, makes an appearance. From around 1992-2014 I was Jay Hustle. That was my name in the streets during those years. Jay burnt through millions of dollars but doesn’t have jack shit to show for it except shitty veins, a cocky attitude, and some great stories that everyone I would tell while incarcerated or during BS sessions on the streets that always got the same response from the people listening to them. “You need to write a book man”. Instead I’m becoming a blogger. I will switch between a journal of my life in recovery and a flash fiction series called The Life and Crimes of Jay Hustle and The White Boys that is based on true stories but name’s and locations changed to protect the guilty. I hope you enjoy this blog. Remember, I’m learning as I go so bare with me.
